Telehealth has played a critical role in the delivery of mental health treatment and services during the COVID Pandemic. In this presentation, Dr. Shore will review the technology trends impacting mental health services and patient-provider relationships prior to the COVID Pandemic, summarize technologies role in transforming the mental health care during the pandemic and anticipate post-pandemic trends in care transformation, and discuss current and emerging evidence, best practices and research for telehealth and future direction in mental health research.

Jay Shore, M.D., M.P.H.
University of Colorado
Jay Shore is the director of the Office of Telehealth and Technology Implementation for Behavioral Health Practice and Science (TIPS) and a professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and the Centers for American Indian and Alaska Native Health in the Colorado School of Public Health. His career has focused on the use of technology in mental health, including health programs for native, rural, and military populations. Dr. Shore is the chair of the American Psychiatric Association’s Committee on Telepsychiatry.
